When Middle Park Health set out to expand critical care access in Grand County, it became more than a construction project—it became a rallying point for rural healthcare and community strength. Through the Northwest Enterprise Zone Contribution Project, donors received up to 25 percent in state tax credits, turning generosity into lasting impact. This video tells the story of how local leadership, smart strategy, and AGNC’s support helped bring the Fraser Medical Campus to life—because in Northwest Colorado, collaboration isn’t just a value, it’s a lifeline.
Strengthening Communities. Building the Future.
Northwest Colorado is home to a network of nonprofit organizations, government entities, and community projects that are shaping the region’s economic and social landscape. From organizations serving aging residents to major infrastructure, these projects fuel growth, create opportunities, and preserve the character of our region.

Whether you are an older adult, or a caregiver concerned about the well-being and independence of an older adult, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is ready to help. Programs are offered to help older adults remain independent, engaged and supported through health and wellness programs, nutritional services, transportation assistance, legal and financial aid.
Enterprise Zone Contribution Projects: Investing in Northwest Colorado’s Future
What is an Enterprise Zone Contribution Project?
An Enterprise Zone Contribution Project is a program under Colorado’s Enterprise Zone (EZ) initiative that encourages investments in nonprofit and public projects that promote economic development in designated Enterprise Zone areas.
These projects help strengthen local economies, improve quality of life, and attract investment in underserved or rural areas. In return, investors can receive tax credits up to 25% and the peace of mind that comes from making a difference in people’s lives.
To qualify, a project must:
- Align with the economic development goals of the Enterprise Zone
- Contribute to job creation, business retention, or infrastructure improvements
- Have strong backing from the Enterprise Zone administrator and local community
