About the CEDS Process: The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a locally based, regionally driven economic development planning process and document. The CEDS is one of the prerequisites required from EDA for federal designation as an EDD and must be updated at least every five years. An effective CEDS identifies locally grown strategies to guide regional economic development, encourage partnerships and collaboration, and improve economic outcomes and overall quality of life in local communities. It serves as a road map that brings together many voices from your region to form a common vision for economic prosperity and resilience. (NADO, CEDS – EDD CoP CEDS - NADO)
