Today’s workforce is evolving—and pioneers are leading the way. This year, AGNC’s Economic Development Summit is all about building a competitive advantage through skills-based career paths that meet the demands of a changing economy.
We’re excited to welcome nationally recognized keynote speaker Mark Perna, who will deliver his Competitive Advantage Track—a dynamic presentation designed to empower young people with the practical skills that employers are looking for: communication, problem-solving, work ethic, and adaptability. It’s about unlocking career success without needing a traditional college degree.
We’re also showcasing YouthEntity from Carbondale—a groundbreaking program preparing high school students for careers in infrastructure, veterinary services, and healthcare. Their Career Academy connects students directly with businesses for hands-on training, industry certifications, and real-world work experience. YouthEntity will host a special student panel sharing what today’s emerging workforce needs from employers—and how local businesses can better recruit, engage, and retain young talent.
The summit will be emceed by Cam Wyatt & Nicolette DiPietro with Colorado River BOCES. With their energy and insight, they will guide the day's flow and help connect the dots between statewide systems and local solutions.
