AGNC is pleased to announce that the draft 2026–2031 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is now available for public review.

Developed through county meetings, regional discussions, public surveys, economic data analysis, and input from businesses, local governments, community organizations, and residents, the CEDS identifies the shared priorities, challenges, and opportunities of Northwest Colorado’s five-county region. The draft reflects extensive regional research, county-level SWOT discussions, public survey responses, economic and demographic analysis, and guidance from the EDD/CEDS Committee. It establishes the region’s strategic direction around five goals:

  • Healthy Communities
  • Economic Vitality
  • Extraordinary Infrastructure
  • Strong Communities
  • Future Preparedness

The public comment period has now closed and AGNC will review the comments received, make appropriate revisions, add appropriate photos and visual effects, and then prepare the CEDS for approval by the AGNC Board of Directors on September 16, 2026. The final consideration and submission to the U.S. Economic Development Administration will take place by September 30, 2026.
